Hey all. As you may have already guessed, this site is getting a major overhaul. I am taking the next 6-7 months to work on this site.
Due to major financial issues, the current version that you may all have been used to is not getting published. That is why I am personally
working on the site and saving the funds needed to host this new site on a decent server with all the stuff that we will need to make this site
successful. I am giving myself at least 6 months to get the site running since it will take that much time to get the funds together to launch the site.
During that time, I will be working on this site and putting all the peices together.
I would like to apologize to everyone that saw the old site and got their hopes up that it was going to launch. I got extremely busy and my bills from
school were starting to add up to more than 2 weeks worth of pay. I desperately threw the site together without taking into consideration that it takes
longer than a couple months to make sure everything is working properly and is secure.
I would also like to thank all of you that have used the site and gave me input. All your input is being taken seriously and I am planning on having everything
implemented in the new site.
The features that you will be able to look froward to in the new site are below...
- Video Uploads: Registered users will be able to upload videos from their XBOX 360 for the various supported LCU Games.
- Forums: All users will be able to view all forums and posts and registered users will be able to make new posts and threads.
- Store: Registered users will be able to make purchases from the store. Products will be LCU products and many other types.
- Message Center: Registered users will be able to private message anyone they want.
- Affiliate Program: Shop at any of our affilites' sites and earn money (details will be posted when available).
- Membership Levels: Register as a Free or Paid member and receive extra bonuses (details will be posted when available).
- Support: Gives you contact to the support staff for LCU World Wide and also access to the support forums.
- Leaderboards: View the status of LCU members in the various LCU supported games.
- Sponsored Games: View a list of all the games the LCU supports as well as get a list of members for each game's clan and leader contact information if you would like to join.
- Chat Room: Will be for LCU Clan Members only. Search for a room by game, create your own and send invites, or just join a public room. Chat with all your LCU friends live (Not to be initially released...). Public chat rooms to NON LCU Clan members will be made available depending on usages.
- News Letters: Everyone in the world can sign up to receive a LCU New Letter emailed to them (publication dates will varry).
- Upcoming Events: Look and see what events are coming up for LCU (Tournaments, meetings, etc...).
- Polls: Take the polls and provide feedback about our rules and the site. Your input is important!!!
- Customizable Look: The new site will allow users to change their preferences to display the site in different fonts, colors, etc...
As you can see, there are several feateures that I am planning to have available for the LCU 2.0 Website that is coming. I am also taking a
look at other messages that I have received on other requests such as an Auction site where Registered users can auction items they want to sell
for 50% or less of the fees that eBay charges sellers and has more features. I have to look into the legalities of such a thing and it may or
may not be something that we could do.
